KINDERGARTEN

 

During Marking Period 1, kindergarten students practice identifying sounds as fast or slow. The contrast between fast and slow is experienced through movement. Students also explore steady beat through playing classroom instruments and respond to music in several different meters through locomotor and non-locomotor movement. Singing games and finger plays provide most of the musical content through which students explore these concepts.
